Hey Guys,
how long did it take after u submitted the AMCAS to get the secondaries? I am a re-applicant so i am applying earlier this year than last year. Last year i received secondaries like few days after( amcas submision was around october). Now, its been more than a week and i havent received any, i am starting to freak out. And one more thing, to those who are not using th pre-med committee for LOR's, do you guys wait for the secondaries to come in and than ask for those lors, cause i know some schools want you to get a cover sheet for the lors and also, i was gonna supply stamped envelopes, but some schools also want official envelopes.Anyways, my main concern is wheather i should ask my reference people to send those in now or wait for the secondaries?
Thanks

Don't worry about not getting any secondaries yet - it just means you can relax a little longer. If you really want to get going, start on the schools that give one to everyone. As far as letters go, you can send them out if you want. Most med schools will accept them, there are some exceptions - UCSF, Vandy, Mayo (anyone want to add to the list?). Also, I know you've done this before, but don't forget to send letters to the MD/PhD program as well.

Finally, relax. It'll all get done.

Good luck.

Yeah, it takes a while if you get your AMCAS in early. Be patient...the secondaries will come 🙂
