I think this topic has come up before, but for some reason my search function isn't working at all.

Last time I flew across the country I emailed the nearby schools that I would be in the area. Now, 2 months later, I'm going again. Any thoughts on emailing a second in the area email to the same schools?

I wouldn't do it.

I had no problem doing this, and received several interview invites from doing so. Apparently they were unable to interview me the first time on whatever week I would be in the area, and had slots available the next time.

If I was going a third time, I would send another note to all the schools in the area that I didn't interview with. Mine are very short however, I don't go into long details, just a quick note with the week I will be in the area, and what dates I already have interviews on during that week. I'm a west coast guy and travel to the midwest and east coast is very time consuming and expensive. I think they understand that.
