Hi all -- I just wanted to check because I'm under the impression most med schools don't look at senior grades to assess your acceptance (if you're not taking a gap year and going straight through.) I understand they may ask to see the transcript just to ensure you took the necessary prereqs and didn't flop... but has anyone heard about schools wanting to see senior year grades to evaluate your candidacy as an applicant?

Wanted to confirm before I gave up on studying for a midterm LOL /j

Thank you!!

AMCAS schools don't require you to show your grades after turning in your AMCAS app.
This is something that's more common for HS students applying to colleges.

If you are having a great semester and want to update them with your Fall 2024 grades in an email, that's a pretty common thing to do.
If a school offers you an admission, they will also verify that you completed your bachelors degree before finalizing your enrollment in late spring.

Amazing, thank you SO much for this response !!! Appreciate it!!

Agreeing. However, schools will want your final transcript sent directly to them as part of your enrollment onboarding. Granted, it is rare that anyone gets post-enrollment rejected for bombing their last semester, but it should be said they will notice and may take some action.
