No. However, it might be against company policy. For example, we have a couple that is working at our hospital, and the wife wasn't allowed to apply for a position that would directly supervise the husband.

this pharmacist lost license for sleeping with a patient. that is a professional misconduct and grounds for termination and license revoked. what if its between a pharmacist and a hot tech girl? a few years ago i had a thing for this tech girl. nothing came of it, but just wondering.. is that a violation of professional misconduct and grounds to have a license revoke?

Yes, she gets to supervise him at home but not at work.

Yes, you can date your patient just as long as you don't slip your number inside her Premarin vaginal cream. That is too suggestive.

Totally agree, company policy is what it is. But this guy didn't just lose his job - he lost his license. The worst part is that an act of "consensual sex" is now on record as "sexual abuse" per this code. I'm still confused whether this was actually a patient or a coworker? I guess it could be both...

I expect a story headline like that in Gawker; not so much in Pharmacy Times. It's even right in the URL.
If you ever needed any more evidence that it's all about the clicks, I present exhibit A.

Ontario’s Health Provisions Procedural Code prohibits any sexual behavior, whether physical or verbal, between the patient and the pharmacist, with the exception of spouses.
Nothing verbally sexual, so be VERY careful about your counseling on Nuvaring, Vagifem, Muse, Edex, and any suppository. 5 years is a major slam.
