Yup. As long as the research is in BCMP fields it counts.
 
sorry, so is sGPA basically all the units taken for grade under physical science, and biological sciences? would this include school tutoring if the units fell under the category of biology/physical sciences? this sounds like a dumb question but I just wanted to clear things up.
 
yes it would. If the tutoring still gave you credit and a grade.
 
I took independent research, but registered for it under PLSC366 (Plant & Soil Sciences Department) as opposed to BISC366. Would this course be included in my science GPA? It dealt with the same concepts of biology research (DNA genotyping, RNA extraction, PCR), but in plants cells. I took 6 credits of PLSC366 over the past summer and it would def help boost my sGPA if counted!
