Hey, I graduated with Magna Cum Laude (3.7-3.84 gpa) with a BS in Psychology. I came back to take the Science classes that I didn't need to take so I could apply to medical school (ie. Genetics, Physics, Chem, Organic Chem). Can someone give me the run down on what they know about science GPA versus overall GPA when applying to medical school?

My guess is that a large discrepancy between the two could raise some eyebrows.

It is somewhat typical to see sGPA around 0.1 lower than the cGPA. For example: 3.7 cGPA, 3.6 sGPA. However, too much discrepancy between the two can be concerning.

Your current GPA is fantastic, and if your sGPA is close to that and the other areas of your application are all solid, you'll have no problem getting into multiple medical schools.
