shadowing

hey guys,
i have a lot of research experience but not shadowing.Will this highly contribute to me getting admission to DO and MD schools?

P.S. I have tried from the beginning of college. I think I have terrible luck because all the doctors I talked to told me they already had positions filled.

Unless you have had clinical experience, how would you know that you want to be a physician unless you have shadowed one?

I have volunteered at hospitals so I do have an idea of the experiences just not formal shadowing

If you have a LoR from a physician I think you will be okay. If they ask you about it, however, don't say that they all turned you down. That just sounds like an excuse for not trying hard enough and lack of persistence.
