Did anyone else here get an interview with Shenandoah? I am so nervous and don't know what to expect/how to prepare. I am coming out of state from Florida, so right now I'm trying to find a flight.

Congratulations on the interview! Wish I could help with the real important stuff, but I know nothing about Shenandoah!

That is awesome 🙂 I am SO excited to hear back from the five schools I've completed apps for...I should be hearing back sometime in the next week or two from one of them (they said 2-3 weeks as of last Monday). Good luck!

Lucky you... It's going to be a long wait still for TJL and USC, and a reallllly long wait for UCSF. =/

I think I'm going to be getting my interview invite for Shenandoah in the next couple of weeks. Have you selected the day? Did they email you or phone you?

Btw, could you share me your stats if you don't mind. Congrats on the INVITE 🙂

mmm interview season already? This was my favorite part of the application process. Getting LORs, writing my PS, having to fill out 6 different applications because public Texas schools don't use PharmCAS, that all sucked. But interviews are fun if you relax and stay loose. You get to meet a bunch of possible classmates, visit different cities, I thought it was awesome.

Shenandoah was the very first place I interviewed last year, and it was probably the best place for me to get rid of all my jitters. The faculty is really nice and they made me feel really relaxed. I just took that feeling from that interview and carried it on to my other interviews where environments weren't as friendly. Ultimately I decided to go to a state school, but before I got in anywhere in Texas I was seriously thinking about Shenandoah because of the interview experience.

Wow...such an early interview! Congrats!

Last year my interview was in Jan 😛. Have you checked the interview feedback pages? The tab is at the very top on the page. It said "Interview Feedback"

Mine was really relaxing. They asked me all the "good old interview questions": Why pharmacy? Pharmacy Experiences? Strengths and weaknesses? What do I want to do after graduating? etc.

Good luck!

They e-mailed me yesterday. I e-mailed back hoping to get September 25 for the interview. Since I'm coming from Florida it's going to be hard to find a flight in there. Apparently the closest airport is in Washington D.C. and then it is about an hour and a half drive to the campus.

I sent my application super early because I wanted to improve my chances of getting in. Honestly, I was so surprised to hear back so quickly.

I'm really glad to hear that the staff is friendly! That will help me become less nervous. 🙂 Let me know when you hear back RXsocal!

Ask them if you can get the interview at the Ashburn campus instead of Winchester. That campus is much closer to the airport.

I just received my interview as well! When you figure out the flight stuff feel free to pass it along, I am still working on figuring it all out.

I got my interview invite earlier this month also... I'll be flying out to Dulles in DC at the start of Sept.

Good luck to all... I've heard good things about Shenandoah so I'm excited. Plus I'm very impressed with the quick turnaround time for the applications.

For those of you wondering... Submitted PharmCAS mid June, 90+ comp PCAT, 3.3-3.4 gpa.

I received my interview invitation also. I'm excited to go but I don't know which day to choose. I can go on the Friday....but I feel like those interviewing earlier in the process might have an advantage. What do you guys think? Anybody else flying from southern California? let me know 🙂

Yeah, I'll be flying from Southern Cali too...
LAX to IAD...

I did Dollar Rent A Car, promo code 9COE6 for $35.99/day if anybody is interested... i read shuttles from dulles to the campus area run $100+.

Cool thanks, what day did you request for interview? And are you staying over night or flying there...interview...then fly back?

I had my interview at Shenandoah this weekend. I really liked the school! I interviewed at the Winchester campus and the town is absolutely gorgeous! I loved that everyone there seemed genuinely happy and interested in getting to know me.

The students and faculty all gave me the impression that they were happy with their decision to be there. I find out tomorrow...hopefully good news! :xf::xf:

This promo code works elsewhere if i book the rental car in a different city right? I'll try it. Thanks a lot.

My interview is on the 10th of october. Im wondering, for those of you that had your interview at the winchester campus, what rent a car company did you use. Since I am 22, they want to add an aditional 50 dollars on top of the daily rate. Seems like a rip off, but id like to see what everyone else did so I can get the best deal possible. Thanks.

Congrats on the interview. I had mine on September 21st, and they told me that I should hear back by tomorrow afternoon. Hopefully I get in, because then a lot of stress will be lifted from my shoulders knowing that I will be able to go to school somewhere.

I flew into Dulles from LAX, rented a car, and drove to Winchester. It's about an hour and a half away from the airport, but the trip was really light. If you're looking to find a good deal on flights and cars, then I would suggest going to Hotwire.com - You can bid on flights and rental cars. Also, the admissions chair told me to leave campus at 2:30pm for a 7pm flight back home, but I got to the airport in 2 hours...even after stopping for food and gas. Good luck, everyone!

Any idea on how much the rent a car should cost? I will have to stay in Virginia for 2 nights because I have another interview in Tennessee and will fly there directly from Virginia. Im thinking theyre gonna be charging me 50 bucks a day since im under 25. Is this accurate?

For those of you who received interviews, could you tell me when you took the PCAT? Also, did you all submit PharmCAS in June?? Curious to when I am supposed to hear back.

Thanks!

I think it cost about 30 bux to rent a car for a day, but that's because I flew with my dad. The 50 bux is about right, because you are under 25, so that's not a mistake. Unfortunately there aren't any shuttles that run to Winchester from Dulles. Good luck on your interviews tho!
