I submitted my PharmCAS on December 1st. My stats:
94% comp PCAT
2.69 overall PharmCAS GPA
2.67 science PharmCAS GPA
B.S. in Biology
~8 years experience as a pharmacy technician

So far accepted to UNE and WNEU. Interviewed at ETSU last week but haven't heard back yet.

I don't remember if UNE calculates their own GPA or not though. WNEU definitely does, but I'm not sure how. My overall is very low from my really crappy undergrad stuff several years ago. Retook prereqs over the last 2 years and have a 4.0 in those.
 
Will be declining my acceptance, so that another one of you qualified applicants can take my spot. Good luck!
 
The interview went great 🙂 Added bonus, I got a message that I was accepted to ETSU also. Really gonna be tough picking here...

Hey guys! Does anybody know if the Macbook Pro's that we get from the school are issued to us in brand new condition?
 
Dunno about that, but I asked about the iPads, and Cindy said it's very possible that we could be getting the new iPads that they announced today, so who knows.
 
Yea I talked to the guy who I believe is in charge of the technology program and he said that we should be getting the "latest and greatest" technology!
 
I look forward to joining you others who will be attending SU in the Fall. 🙂 Just accepted my offer there.
 
Does anyone know the total Cost of Attendance for shenandoah off campus? 😕
School website provides specific CoA for incoming undergraduates, breaking down one by one.. but i can't find any graduate program's CoA🙁
 
Does anyone know how SU matches residency programs and where they do it? Any in CA 😉?
 
Hey guys, do you any of you know if we actually get to keep the macbook and ipad forever and if they are brand new?

The iPad's are ours to keep for good and the macbooks are being leased to us from the school but we have the option to buy them upon graduation. The macbooks do come brand new...I called and asked a couple weeks ago.

I heard that the iPad's cost extra, is that true? Is anyone opting for the ipod touch or iphone option?

There's an extra charge only if you want to put a Verizon or AT&T data plan on it, but you don't have to considering you can use the wifi

Are you sure the data plan is the only charge? I thought that they offer iPads at a cost of $430 (a $200 discount, assuming they will use the retina display one), but the iPod Touches and iPhones are no cost because they are only a $99 value. I could be wrong, though.

http://www.su.edu/www/iml/faq.html <----- This link says it's a one time fee if we choose it as our "mobile" device...now I'm not really sure anymore either? lol
 
Hey--

I got an email for the last cycle of interviews.. I have NO idea how to get to Winchester from New York. Greyhound doesn't go to Winchester, I don't know if I should go to D.C. and take a cab or go to Baltimore and find a way...

Anyone with any help? Anyone travelled to Winchester from New York?

I have an interview at Ashburn campus on 26th, anyone else here going?
I need to stay for a night; could someone recommend me a hotel or inn near Ashburn campus?
It doesn't need to be fancy or anything🙂
I looked at the Marriot hotel but their rates seem to be too high for me.. 🙁
(It says around 188$+tax on their website. I can ask for Shenandoah rate but I am guessing it would still be around $150🙁...)

I'm a current student (and also an accepted Class of 2016 member). Macs and iPod Touches/iPhones/iPads are brand new. For the mobile devices (iPod Touches/iPhones/iPads) you do keep it. The University retakes possession of the Macs after you leave UNLESS you pay a prorated amount for it. IMO, it is not worth it for me (after-all, who would want to buy a six year old Mac at a discount when they can just buy a new one?)
 
is anyone interviewing in MAY? i got an invitation to interview, but am wondering how many seats are left at the ASHBURN campus?

I gave up my seat at Ashburn recently. I LOVED the school and the folks already admitted are awesome. For me it was because I got accepted to my instate school. I wish you the best of luck in this process. I also know that some others are also in the same position so that there are probably several slots. Good Luck!!! It is a great school!
 
I had my interview last week, was soooo nervous. Even though they say it's "Relaxed", an interview is still an interview! I LOVE the architecture of the school, met a few professors, they're SO nice. I loved the inside of Exploration Hall. I got to watch a lecture and the live conferencing was kewwwl. No professor in the room just the screen.

Also, I have only visited the Ashburn campus and would love to hear some words about the Winchester campus please 🙂

I have 4.5 years of research experience and what I loved about the Ashburn campus was the opportunities for research and the wonderful labs and equipment of the GW campus. How does Winchester compare??

Contact Cynthia Witty or Debra Lynn for the deets on both campuses. They answered my question by saying that both campuses are the same material-wise. There will be more video-lecturing at Ashburn than at Winchester. More professors at Winchester. Class size is different and also Winchester is an hour away from Ashburn and two hours away from GW.
 
Thanks! I talked to Cynthia today, she has put a note on my application to switch me to Ashburn in case someone drops out. I guess I will stay-put for OFFICIAL roommate search for another two weeks.
I would greatly appreciate information from anyone looking for a roommate. I prefer communal living (more than 1 roommate) but am ok with just one 🙂 I am a 24 year-old, female, social, very neat and clean. At this point I will be looking for information regarding potential roommates at the Winchester campus, unless in the next two weeks, I get a seat at Ashburn.

I grew up in the suburbs of DC and went to UMD for my undergrad, so I know the tri-state area very well. If you are from out of state, I would be a great roommate to have, to show you all that the DC,MD, VA area has to offer. I will be joining the FB group later tonight and will copy-paste my messages from here so you can stalk me on FB 🙂

BTW, the GW campus is the same as the Ashburn campus, sorry for the confusion.
 
I just got an email for an interview. Did anyone else get an invite? It's so late in the cycle, I'm surprised they are still interviewing.
I've already settled on a school but am leaning towards going for an interview.....

I got an interview too, but I'm already going to another school this Fall. I'm not even sure why they are interviewing so late.
Don't worry too much I'm sure most of the people on the waiting list would get in by the end of June 🙂

I just got my grades for this spring semester, do I have to e-mail them to Cindy or just sending in the official transcript should be okay?

You need to send an official transcript to Office of Admission.
 
ohhh MY GOODNESS... they are STILL interviewing.. oh wows..now I wouldn't be surprised if they put waitlisters on until August. Were the applicants THAT bad? We'll never know. I am not the most stellar applicant out there and I do understand the need for the school to pick the "best".

Ugggh... my blood has run dry. The waiting.

For those students who have made plans to attend a school before receiving Shenandoah's interview, are you going in for the interview?

I chose not to go for an interview. It's wayyyy to late in the game to do another interview when you've already started looking at housing and figuring out moving plans.
 
At this point in time I wouldn't be surprised if they carried the applicant process 'til August.

That is what I'm afraid of.

I am trying to decide if I should start the 2013 application cycle right now anyway while I'm on the waiting list.

Main concern $: If I get accepted I want to have the deposit readily available, which I'd be using if I decide on the 2013 cycle now. =X

I don't "know" this, but it's just a hunch. Waiting long periods of time for something triggers my mind to think about stuff I wouldn't be thinking about if I weren't waiting so long. That's me. I over-analyze things? 😛 I know my application was not tip top and stellar compared to many >3.5 GPAs.

Maybe they're still interviewing because many of the deposited students have cancelled their admittance and that leaves seats opens and the Uni. is wanting to fill them with "better" applicants. Obviously all schools have back-ups. But I thought waitlisters were back-ups...so why interview a new batch of students? Well, they DID say on their site, "We're On The Look-out"...

About starting 2013 cycle...I say have a little faith and hope and hang on for a little more... I read that people have been accepted one day before orientation (that's really harsh). It's still "early" as one admissions counselor has said to me. "Early" if you think about how schools are still sending out interviews, besides Shenandoah.

All this said, you know what you got to do. Just forge on, bro.

Thanks! I am on the waiting list still, have you heard of stories of any of your classmates who were in the same situation get admitted post-July?

I still have not heard a thing, and want to plan for next year's application, but would also like to save some money for the deposit if there is still hope for me.

Don't lose hope! We have 2 new members were add into the group yesterday and today. I wasn't sure if they just got accepted, but good luck!
 
Almost losing hope... Time to save up $ to reapply.
 
i am having an interview with shenandoah on thursday. Any idea what interview questions? is there any essay part?
