hello my friends,
i was wondering if anyone had any information on shipping a car from california to NY. Can anyone recommend a company and how to contact them, the pricing and if i would be able to pack the car with stuff? Thanks!

I don't have any specific companies to recommend, but I was quoted about $900 from San Francisco to NY. You can not pack the car with stuff.

I shipped my car from Atlanta to San Francisco about 5 years ago . . . . it was about $900. I packed my car with a lot of my stuff that I was moving and then maxed out the # of bags you can have on the airplane. Although, the company clearly stated that they would not be responsible for lost or damaged property.

I don't remember the name of the company, sorry. I seriously just googled around and found a reputable looking place.

Good luck! 😀

Yeah, that sounds about right for that. Unless you own a ferrari and want to send it off in a pretty, fancy trailer with other ferraris/corvettes/lambos etc. It can get pretty expensive. Why? Are you moving there?

I shipped my car from NC to WA with Coast to Coast Auto Transport. It cost 1250 and they don't allow you to pack anything in the car.

Sounds like driving is much cheaper. I'd drive if I were you - it's about a 3 day drive if you're driving 12+ hours a day, so 2 nights at a motel ($100-140) and about 4-5 tanks of gas, depending on the car ($200-300). Hook up a trailer to it. I've hooked up a trailer even to a small car (VW Passat sedan, non-diesel).
