Should I drop a class?

My projected grade in one of my bio prereq classes is 2.8. I don't think I'll do much better on the final to bring it up to more than 3.0 (which is till not a good gpa imo). Should I drop this class? Will the 2.8 on my transcript hurt me more than a W? For context, I'm a freshman in my second quarter and my current gpa is 3.92

Cool, keep up the strong work. An isolated W or two won't hurt you. Adcoms are more concerned with people who make a habit of dropping classes.

Nope, misread the post (got distracted, had a brain fart and thought 2.8 = C-).

OP, JMilo is right. Eat the B and move on.

Alright. Yeah I did speak to a few other people and decided not to drop the class after all. Thanks though
