Ok so want to preface this by saying that I know I haven't done well in undergrad and right now I am applying to master's programs for biology. I graduated with a 2.9 gpa and 2.5 sgpa. I had one pretty bad semester my second year there where I failed orgo and basically got Cs in my other science courses. Not that it helps much, but my college had a pretty strong science/premed program and I should have done better.

I took the DAT last month and I actually think I could have scored higher; I was scoring high in the QR sections on practice exams and I lost track of time on the last section on the actual test. I'm typically pretty good at math. Here are my DAT scores:
PA: 21
QR:17
RC: 20
BIO:21
GC:23
OC:21
TS:21
AA:20

From what I can gather online, everyone says that I won't get into any dental schools and that I need to do a masters program. I am not particularly picky as to which dental school I get into. People in my life have been telling me that I should apply to some schools anyway, but I'm pretty sure I have no shot. Wanted to get some of your guys' opinions. I don't think I should waste time and money trying to apply this cycle unless I have a shot of getting in. Thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts.

Do some research on school websites. many of them have gpa cutoffs. If u meet a few schools academic criteria i would take the gamble. Worst case scenario u lost a few bucks. Low-risk; high-reward situation.

In my opinion, I think you should raise your gpa before applying. Applying is a lot of money and time consuming if you were to go through the process twice, so I think it's better to wait when you are more competitive. Not a lot of schools like to see a gpa under 3.0 to be honest.
