I'm currently getting a job offer from target and kroger and I was wondering if anybody has any advice/tips on which company I should choose.. Both have their perks.. They both seem to provide equal number of tech hours.. I'm leaning towards kroger because target seems to really micromanage everything and force their pharmacists to do a lot of diff things... So any ideas?

I'd pick Target. Around here, they close for an hour during lunch and close up for the night at 7pm. That and a busy day for them is like 150 scripts. Pay is all the same - why work til 9-10 when you'll get paid the same for less work?

I worked on the other end of the spectrum as a courtesy clerk @ Fry's (owned by Kroger)... they treated me like garbage.... best way to put it, they didn't care about their employees and any issues would never be resolved. I hate Fry's/Kroger with a passion.

Plus the store's usually dirty and very dingy. Target is brightly lit and welcoming. I'd say Target any day over Kroger.

Target stores are very welcoming, aren't they? Particularly the new ones... we have a brand-spankin' new one here and it's absolutely gorgeous.

Change my vote....because you can get everything including some groceries from Target so you dont have to stop anywhere when you get off...

I just have heard Target has a horrible computer system that makes 150 Rxs seem like 250...

But, that is only from one mouth.....I know another intern that likes it fine...

They're computer system is kinda sucky. It's not horrible, but it could be a lot better. Once you get use to it though, it becomes second nature.

I did a rotation, and I loved it there. For the most part, the environment was great and the people were friendly.

I currently work at Target and I'm not happy with the computer system and there is a ton of micro-management. I've been with Target for 2 years now and the pharmacy has gone through a lot of changes (I would say for the worse). Stores in my area do 50 - 300 scripts/day (it really depends on the store).

However, I don't know anything about Kroger.
