Should I retake all my chemistry classes or just biochem?

I'm applying next summer, and right now I have a 2.9 after graduating. I have Cs in both gen chems, as well as ochem I, then a B in ochem II and a C- in biochem. I'm enrolled in two gen chem classes right now at a CC, but is it worth retaking them? I have about 160 units since I changed my major, and I honestly think it will look better if I just retake biochem and try and get an A, seeing as these course aren't upper div. I really enjoyed that class and gen chem is just a bunch of orbital stuff I'm not too interested in right now. I also work in health care, volunteer at a hospital, have great faculty letters, and have some other interesting extra currics. I just don't think re taking these gen chem classes will help me out that much, compared to say, doing well on the MCAT and having an A in biochem. Any thoughts?

I have a B- in both bio 1,2 and chem 1/biochem. I'm not retaking any courses. The C- should be fixed though esp. for b/c. Its a fundamental course that will aid you for the MCAT.

Your GPA is way too low. You need to retake most C/D/F courses and raise your GPA do above 3.3 AND then do well on the MCAT. So yes retake the gem chems and the Biochem

Your GPA at the moment is far to low. But it is fixable, retake C courses to fix it. Especially the C- course because it doesn't even count as a passing course for Medical schools(C or better counts as a pass). Yes retake all of them if you can, it will not only help your GPA and make you look better BUT it will aid you for the MCAT. The grades indicate you don't have a strong understanding of the course material, so I definitely recommend retaking them for both your GPA and MCAT.

I was going to say what most people here already stated. Retake any classes with a C to boost your gpa up. I'm pretty much in the same situation as you in that I have a 3.2 gpa and I'm about to graduate this December. I am planning to retake 6 classes (bad freshman year) to hopefully get pass 3.4.

If those are your only science related C's then retake them all. I skipped retaking gen chem II for now but only because I have other biology classes that make more sense to retake.

Thanks guys! Definitely keeping these chem classes.
