Since applying I have:
  • Started additional volunteering writing grant proposals and doing data management for an animal shelter in Asia.
  • Received a quarterly employee recognition award and promotion to trainer.
  • Received numerous positive supervisor performance reviews at a suicide hotline.
  • Helped lead food distribution at a food pantry in an underserved area of NYC.
Will this new information move the needle?

Thank you for taking the time to consider this question!
Not in the least.

The short answer is no.

The slightly longer answer is that if you have killer stats, and one of these things fills a glaring hole in your app (ie the last thing in terms of non-medical volunteering)... then still probably no. But at least then I would understand why you're sending it. Otherwise this all seems like normal stuff that anyone might do during the course of the year.

Any of these items involve more than 2,000 hours of effort? Even if it did, most schools are going to make decisions on what you submitted, not what you added since submitting. We don't have the time to try to go back and make those adjustments.
