Hello everyone!

Took NBME yesterday and got 198, real thing in 15 days, All I need is a pass.

What do you think?

Oh and finished UW cumulative 60%
Right now doing Kaplan qBank scoring between 58 and 65 %, 60 % done
Really dissapointed with my NBME score.

Should I postpone?

Thanks

Ouch! Now that's exactly what I was fretting about last week myself!

Your UW scores and Kaplan look good to me, have you spent some time trying to figure out why the score is lopsided on your NBME? Look up the graphical interpretation and see if you can make a connection with your weak areas.I would buy some time and work on 'em if I were you.Even if it's a pass you are aiming for, it's good to steer atleast 20 points ahead of pass mark to be on a safer comfortably pass margin.

Most importantly, please DO NOT DESPAIR! This comes from someone who did quite well on qbanks and other tests but bombed on first NBME sim too.

Try to buy some time and see if you can get in the 210+ comfortably pass margin.

Above all, believe in yourself and stick with what you think will work out best ,Good luck!👍

Thanks metalrex,

I am so tired (mentally, financially, physically) and my cs eligibility period expires on june 8 (same day appointment), and I dont understand what's wrong, when doing qbank scoring not so bad and then that NBME score!!

I have a plan for the next 15 days but honestly do not know what to do. I am sure in 15 days I can improve a lot but who knows?

Thanks for your reply

Sure you can improve in 15 days, hey you have almost a month until june 8th!

Delegate a week to 10 days to revv up your weak areas , then take another NBME or UWSA and see where you stand.

If it comes 210+ or even close to that, I would give it a go for a comfortable pass.

Or if you really need more time, you can extend your eligib period , but this should come only as a last resort.

Also, if this was your first NBME, I recommend you decide only after you take another. My first NBME score was lopsided too against my other scores ,so Im gonna see what happens with the next exam.

Remember, the race is for the swift who can continue runnin'

🙂
