So my first interview is on Friday and I woke up this morning completely disgusting. My throat hurts, I can't stop sneezing and my nose is a fountain.

Think this is going to matter to the nice folks at Miami? Will they admire my endurance or cringe when I cough?

Buy yourself some Airborne from you local pharmacy, and drink that stuff every 4 hours or however often it says. The earlier you take it, the better it works. Hope you feel well enough on Friday. Just be sure to take tissues with you in case you need to blow your nose.

I got sick with a pretty bad cold Monday morning before my VCU interview. (I think the plane ride and stress did me in). I have interviewed at VCU and GW and at both places the people were really nice, kept saying they understood and hoped I felt better. As long as you can get through an interview and answer their questions well, you're fine. Even doctors get sick every once in a while, right?

I interviewed at MCW with a horrible cold. I had a water bottle in my interview with me, and when I walked in, I introduced myself, and basically apologized ahead of time for my lack of a voice. I also used my coughing short coughing spells as a time to think about answers to questions. That aspect was really nice. Though, I don't remember much from the interviews because I was so groggy/out of it except for a few random questions. I felt bad when I'd give tours here last year because people would ask me what sorts of questions I'd get asked, and all I remember are a few questions from the student interview.

That interview was also on April Fool's Day.

echinacea tea sweetened with honey helps me get over sickies more quickly. It also feels good on a sore throat.

Drink plenty of water. Hope you get to feeling better soon 🙁
