SMP question with academic update... Confused

So i just started my SMP in January and will end up with a 3.44 GPA based off of only 9 credits (this includes an A in a dental school course if that helps). I know its low for an smp but i will be taking 11 credits in the upcoming fall semester. I know i can get a 4.0 in the upcoming fall semester which will bring my gpa close to 3.7 3.8. Do i stand a chance of getting any interview invites because im applying this june/july? Will any school wait for my fall semester grades? Or will they base their decision off of my ugpa and first smp semester? Btw i still have not taken the DAT and will take it in August.

Schools will never wait to look at your app for grades. They will use your uGPA and 1st semester SMP. Remember: traditional applicants are still in school when they come in for Fall interviews. The schools will assume that the applicant will earn what ever they got last year.

Schools will wait for for that DAT score to come in, though.

As for standing a chance... first we don't know your DAT, so no one can even guess. Also we don't know your uGPA, your ECs, or even your state of residency....

I am a canadian student so im only limited to private US dental schools. I heard in the past that private schools generally wait for at least 2 semester worth of grades. My uGPA is around a 3.0 but my science uGPA is around a 3.4-3.5
