Hey,

I know a bunch of SDNers are applying to Drexel, so I thought I'd put this in a new thread.

Earlier, I read a post that Drexel doesn't email you if you are invited to an interview and that you have to just check your status page obsessively...

I suppose something must have changed since that time though bc last week I got invited to interview through an email...

So basically, for those of you who are typing in your Banner ID multiple times a day (what the hell is a banner ID anyway)... you can ease up - you'll get an email.

Hope this is useful to some of you all!

I disagree.

I thought Drexel would just send me an email letting me know if I got an interview. I decided to check my status on it last night and found I had an interview. This is great, but really ****ing sucks that I was just in Philadelphia three days ago for Temple, and probably could have scheduled both for the same trip. I think it's really unorganized of them not to send out interview invites via email.

Come on Drexel, I completed my application on 8/31 but am still listed as incomplete as of 10/9 pending my letters of rec, which I submitted through Interfolio in late August... three emails and no response... anyone have any luck calling the office? I'm in China, so am apprehensive about calling if I'm just going to end up listening to the most expensive 30 minutes of hold-music... Thanks.

i'm in the same boat as you...kind of annoying.😡

My $0.02. . .

I call them about a month ago to make sure my application was complete. Somehow I spoke to someone relatively quickly. I say somehow b/c the next time I called them I got the run around with the telephone prompts and then put on hold.

I decided to write them an email instead. It has been about a month and still no word from them.

I think all the schools are getting slammed right now but you'd think they'd prep for it.

I called them today about my application status and was directed to email them on the automatic prompt thing associated with option 2, checking on status. Perhaps they're not around because of Columbus Day? Anyone who's gotten an interview (and thus is complete) know what's up with the transcript slot on the status page?

Which option on the phone tree do you use to not get the automatic "email us so we can ignore you" message. I'm right there with you guys who sent you stuff in in august and it still says "awaiting receipt". C'mon! honestly. If they're so swamped, and this happens every year, why don't they beef up the staffing in the office for a few months?

What... you guys are both in a boat in China?? 😛

Anyway, I already interviewed there, and my status page still says incomplete. You need to call them to find out whats really up with your status. I also had to call to set up the interview because of technical difficulties. 😱 :scared:

Don't press anything.

Just stay on the line and a admissions specialist will soon answer your call.

Thanks all. I received an email receipt from Drexel (i.e. they clicked on the thing my email prompted asking for a read receipt), but no response to my actual question as of yet. At least we know they open email...😳
