Hey, everyone!

For December acceptances, the time is drawing near where we must finally put down our deposits.

Where have you all decided to attend DS next year? 😀

Awesome 🙂

I'm still waiting on one school! They said they'd have the decision to me by the end of the month (they know I have acceptances at other programs) so I'm waiting till Tuesday to put down a deposit anywhere.

I will most likely decide in a couple more weeks. I have deposits at a couple of places. But I do want to get it over with soon. Congrats everyone on your school decisions. We will be dentists. How crazy is that...

I've been given a deposit extension (haven't put any down anywhere) and am not sure between two schools, despite what my signature says...>.>

Put deposits down for UPenn and Maryland. Will be waiting on the HPSP decision in late January before making the final choice between the two.

MUSC
1. Best clinics I've seen.
2. Great location (Charleston,SC).
3. Relatively small class size.
4. Great weather (no white stuff on the ground year round)

Southern Illinois...very excited to not be paying half a million dollars in loans at a private school

Just for you jeffity - applied very broadly, offered interviews at UB, u mich, NYU, UCSF, Lecom, Upenn, UDM, UNLV, asdoh, and western. Attended and was accepted at the first five in that list. Chose to attend my state school, UB. Can't wait to get at it come August!

Which two? Baylor and what else!
Oklahoma. Mostly $$$ issues, since I grew up 15 mins from there and would live at home. The financials are super close right now. Declined SA/Houston.

You have residency in Oklahoma?

Oh can you explain how it is financially similar, if you do not mind?
I have a good scholarship to OU and my cost of living would be drastically reduced in Oklahoma, as I would be living with my parents a few minutes from the school.

How did you get a deposit extension, if you don't mind my asking? Thanks.

Any excruciating circumstance, or simply "I need more time to think it through"? Thanks.
We're trying to work out the financials, so, I guess that?

most likely attending:

It looks like I'll be going Blue

I still can't decide! Interviews and acceptances at UF, Nova, Columbia, Tufts, Kentucky and UAB. I've narrowed it down to UF, UAB and Tufts... but deposits are due!

nice to have choices, though, huh? Are you in state for uab or uf? A big price difference would make the choice much easier, I'd guess. What factors are you considering?

I'm so thankful to have options! In state for UF, but I graduated from UF and have been living in Gainesville for 8 years so it would be nice to switch it up. But my boyfriend of 4 years has a good career in Gainesville so obviously wants me to stay at UF... UAB offered me a merit scholarship so it's only $8000/year more to go there, an awesome surprise! Applied for Navy HPSP so that's why Tufts is still in the mix, otherwise it is just way too expensive. Clinical experience is a major factor in my decision, I've heard mixed things about UF's program but good things about Tufts and UAB. I think I could be happy at any of the schools, I just need to pick already!

I have no idea about UAB or Tufts, but I interviewed at UF (plus 3 other schools) and honestly the students at UF didn't seem very enthusiastic or happy about much. You could very easily tell they all chose the school for financial reasons. Take that as you will, I have nothing to gain by saying anything against UF (I ultimately got rejected). Good luck in your choice! 🙂

@Teeths, where did you choose? LECOM? NYU?

Leaning towards Tufts at the moment but that might change depending on how my Maryland interview goes!
