Before we all enter the chaos of interview season, I thought it would be fun to find out who wants to go where and why... It might be interesting to see how our favorites change from before-interview to after.
I'll go first:
#1: University of Washington. This program gives amazing training in both primary care and tertiary/subspecialty/academic Peds. Every pediatric subspecialty is represented, and it is affiliated with a great medical school. The WWAMI months in second year teach you not only rural Peds, but also how to stand on your own & make care decisions without umpty-squat levels of supervisors looking over your shoulder. Plus, Seattle is a beautiful, vibrant city, and juuuust the right distance from home for me. 😉
