If we accept an offer today/tomorrow, are we supposed to not make any announcements since everyone who matched originally won't officially know where until Friday?

Right, but can't Bob get 3 different offers and then obviously has to pick 1? So that would mean that the 2 spots that Bob rejected go to someone else? Since we didn't make rank lists, I thought we could get multiple offers during this round.

Those two he rejected go out in round 2

No, the program can only submit as many offers as they have openings each round. So if they are rejected they have to wait until the next round to offer them again. The PD I spoke with was very emphatic about this and called multiple times to verify I would accept the spot.

Ahh ok got it. Thanks for clearing that up. So if that's the case then once this glitch is sorted out then everyone should have their offers and if you don't have one, then have to wait until next round?

I don't think so. There would no benefit for a program to call me and tell me I'm offered a position and there is a glitch in the system if that was not true. The NRMP probably just doesn't want to admit any fault.

From my experience in computer programming, the offers may be tabulated one by one, and each user is updated one by one.

With 13,000 applicants (i got this number from last year's SOAP) it might take some time to go through the entire list.

Yes. There is a hard deadline of 2:00 PM EDT to accept offers.

My dean sent us an email saying the NRMP has sent out a message stating it is still generating positions for this round. Hang in there guys. Hopefully in the next few (20?) minutes we will all know yea or nay.
