I’m getting this out before I go to sleep again: I wouldn’t village read Nav because he’s spewing posts. He’s an excellent wolf. A really excellent wolf. He will spew post regardless of affiliation. There was nothing that he said that really made me village read him and me dying so early kinda concerns me.

Kinda doubt wolf but after suni proclaimed Barks a wolf and tagged BK to have her switch her vote from SAR to Barks it would have been downright strange for her to NOT switch over to Barks so that itself doesn’t buy village points for me. Unsure on this.

I think I said either with my switch or right afterwards that I was swapping in order to continue to self-prez, vote someone who I had also previously listed on my reads list, and also not lynch a claimed PR. I wasn't totally sure that barks was actually a wolf and didn't think that Sunbodi knew either- think I remember them calling out people for being wolves with no concrete evidence in the noob game too- but figured they were a better target than either SAR or me based on available info.

I skimmed the last few pages due to being called in but I’ll catch up on them tomorrow morning. And you’re nowhere near the top of my reads list at all, I just tend to let the complete and total paranoia consume me because I’ve been in some weird situations as a wolf.

Reading through I started to Wonder what happened to Wondering....strong presence all over the thread at all times in noob game almost matching bigcats, then seems to be laying in the background this game. Only day 1 though, and did pick up activity later in the day.

More difficult to post and keep up with the thread since I have had/having overnight shifts at work this Sunday, Monday and Tuesday (today). Pretty much have an hour to catch up on whats going on in this thread between sleeping during the day and going to work. At least I can try to catch up on whats going on in the wee hours of the night when it isn't really busy at work. Additionally, it's D1/D2, people haven't posted a lot yet so I don't really know who I think is wolf yet.

I didn't want us to end up in a tie (we did end up in a tie which worked out) but in the noob game when we did tie two villagers died (including our seer). Would rather learn from past mistakes. I had to pick someone and so because I had the slightest reasons for not picking the others I choose cubs.

In the noob game when she was village she was very helpful and gave out a lot of rationale but in this game she isn't giving all the people she is suspicious in?

Yeah I'm feeling that slightly too. Alissa was giving me very village vibes in the noob game. Not sure if it is just because she has gotten a little more experience from the 90s game (and changed chat strategy through that) or somethings different this game.

Just because I was equal parts amused and annoyed by this, will respond to the other stuff at whatever time I am able to wake up in the morning.

If you are complaining that I don’t post enough; check the sign up thread. Monday through Friday I will be here from 8ish am (whenever I wake up) to 2 pm, and then I work for 10-14 hours. Part of the reason why veterans stopped playing is they had jobs, there was too many posts to go through to adequately catch up/be here at the right times/etc. so they stopped playing. I am on emergency, for that 10-14 hours, this game is not a blip in my mind. I will post on the generally one time I go to the bathroom, which is the extent of the time that I am not doing work things. With that said, I will bet that I probably had more posts that at least 90% of the people playing, but my apologies that it’s not on your schedule 😉.

Honestly it's hard to formulate a read's list from what I have glanced at so far. It seems like a lot of people are going off of knowing how people have played in the past, making it easier to read them knowing habits.

It seems like the only realistic villager read is sunbodi (unless killing off a wolf in a tie was their genius idea to make everyone believe they are villager 😛).

For the record, yes I would've changed my vote had I come in to see the lynch vote and not let it end in a tie (so i would've either switched to barks or someone else, which would've been basically voting barks anyways). Sorry I was busy celebrating my acceptance to Davis that I completely forgot about this game lol!

Hard agree about last part, and why I shuffled them into my village block. I think it’s pretty unlikely that wolves would have continued sitting on a wolf lynch when it was a 3-way tie- easily could have swapped over to me to “protect SAR”, especially given D1 craziness and plausible deniability, plus the fact that I’m new and have no established villager meta and also am playing the same as I was as a wolf. Think genny for sure was around at lynch close and could have waffled over to me if she wanted. Will check back on timestamps yesterday later to verify and also see who else was around.

I also don’t have any feelings regarding SAR’s self-prez vote for me, which I think I’ve said once or twice, and don’t find it suspicious one way or another. Everyone will always vote to self prez, no matter their affiliation. 50/50 shot of choosing me over Barks, not surprised SAR would go for an unestablished noob over someone they’ve presumably played with before and can read. I think it’s pretty iffy that Wolfie would focus on that.

Honestly I didn’t feel like switching. There was a lot of commotion between you, sunbodi, and barks. I didn’t want to flip my vote and have it disrupt that. Plus I didn’t feel strongly against barks and I felt even less inclined to lynch you last night

good grief. I would swear that I was #2 on BigCats vote. ??? of course, that is what happens when playing on my phone. Was not intending for it to be bandwagon...I hate d1 lynches, as they are normally a shot in the dark. The same for d2. At this point, short of somebody rojo'ing, there just is not that much information. Going off of "meta" is not that much of a tell, unless it is someone who has played a lot of games. Totally useless if they have only played 2 or 3. With that said, for those of you that have played a game with me, you will know that I pop in and out and don't say a whole bunch. I try to keep up with the thread...but heavens...it is tough.

To speak to your first point though, you're misreading my first post. I didnt say I had a read on Genny yet. Just that I can usually read her so would be comfortable with her being mayor as I'd likely be able to form a read on her within the first 2 to 3 days. More comfortable with that than voting for someone who I can't read at all at any point in the game

Usually people that feel they can read others well have brought it up prior to... idk the 20th+ game playing with them.

Yep, I powerwolfed last game and it worked really well. You guys have a lot of experience and are better at thinking for yourselves than a bunch of noobs- I'm not quite there yet. That's why I'll always come out swinging as soon as night writeups come out- not only am I just really excited to play, but I want to put my opinion on thread before anyone else has the chance to sway me the way I would sway villagers last game. Even knowing that, it's hard not to look at other people's reads and want to reevaluate my own, but I need to be able to think for myself if I ever want to be a good player, and i can't do that if I just sit back and wait for other people to influence me.

Don't think I was trying to shade Coffee over game advice either- trying to shade over troll logic, sure. I love troll logic and I used it a lot when I wolfed. That's why I'll go after it when I see it- if it's a strategy I used to great success as a wolf, it stands to reason that other people might use it the same way.
