I actually think I remember reading a spreadsheet where there was a role that got extra benefits if elected mayor- I’m doing another spreadsheet hunt to see if I can find it but my initial search went through 2016 so it might take me a while lol.

This.... if she really is playing for village, the wolves now have their first target to off her ASAP if she's getting additional benefits as captain. (unless it gives her NK immunity or something)

Of course! But I think it’s good to see what’s been done before- there’s not exactly some big list of “here’s what’s possible in WW” for us noobs to reference, so really the only thing I can do is try to glean what I can from past games and see if I can catch anything familiar.

Idk... just kinda sketchy to me to push herself solely on mechanics. I will give her the benefit of the doubt but if she wins I’ll be sure to keep a close eye on her.

Generally speaking in these games if someone has a good reason for wanting to be mayor you just kinda go with it. Mayors are often looked into early on, so wolves are less likely to campaign hard for mayor.

I just want to be clear: I am trying to get elected captain for mechanics reasons. I would love it if someone else had the title, but my role specifically mentions additional benefits to being elected captain. If village wants to ignore that, then by all means, elect a captain with less mojo. I’m not going to make fake promises about post-game snacks; I’m talking actual benefits from my role if elected.

Usually tie breaker. But sometimes there are investigative powers as well, and I think I remember a game where mayor got to pass out items. Like miz said, it depends on the game.

You know who's surprisingly good at it? Mel. I don't know how because he won't tell me, but he usually gets me as a villager even when I'm pretending to be sketchy so I live longer.

I don't know how much influence KD and KB have had on game design but I have a really hard time believing there's any one role that was "meant" to be elected captain, or one role that would be extra advantageous to be captain. It doesn't make sense balance-wise because it automatically skews the game one way or another. I think you're misinterpreting your role.

One or two lounge games had the elected get bad things instead of good as it was a dislike campaign atmosphere for a bit. hehe
