I need help with the solubility rules.
Is there a list as to what is more soluble than another?
Do we need to know every detail in solubility rules?
And I don't quite know how to do this problem:
"Silver Chloride is MOST soluble in which of the following solutions at 25 C?"
A. 0.10 M HgNO3 (aq)
B. Pure Water
C. AgNO3 (aq)
D. NaCl (aq)

You need to know that nitrate salts are generally soluble and understand the common ion effect--common ions would make the salt less soluble through Le Chatlier's Principle. So A would increase solubility while C & D would reduce it.

You should probably also know that alkali metal, acetate and ammonium salts are usually soluble.

Think about this solubility rule: All chlorides, bromides, and iodides are soluble EXCEPT when combined with Ag+, Pb2+ and Hg2+
