Unfortunately, rather than correctly being framed as "we need both Pell Grants AND subsidized graduate loans" (with money being shifted from the military to make up the shortfall), it's been painted as "gotta pick Pell Grants OR subsidized loans". Call your senators. Before noon tomorrow. Tell them that making it harder to get through school means fewer good-salaried jobs down the road, which means less tax revenue. Tell them this is penny-wise and pound-foolish. There's little chance it will impact tomorrow's vote, but a) it might, and more importantly, b) there's a chance to impact things in committee.
