Speciality Regional Conferences

Have any of you guys attended a speciality regional conference (i.e. Peds on the western coast, Oncology on the east?) I want to attend a conference coming up; but, it's really near exam time and I want to see what does it really have to offer?

What did you guys get out of it? Connections? Cool case stories? Understanding if this speciality is for you?

Thanks for replying. I definitely want to go. It seems like a good break from all this studying.

In terms of the CV, how exactly would we place this on there? Simply state that we attended a Speciality Conference? Is this seen somewhat of something accomplished? or just that we are heavily interested in a particular field...?
