I am currently at a community college and my school has ZERO resources with regards to premed advising. I am wondering if anyone has any advice about starting a premed on campus?
My community college is huge so I am sure that there is a bunch of people out there who would be interested, I just have no clue how to go about it. There is no premed advisor, nothing! It is so frustrating because I graduate soon and if it wasn't for SDN, I wouldn't have a clue about what is required when it comes to med school applications. I just don't understand why there wouldn't be anyone in place for guidance. I mean, if I didn't start researching information then I would have transferred with nothing, leaving 2 years to cram everything in (MCAT prep, volunteering, research etc.) It would just have been nice to have resources available and meet other premeds with similar interests.
The 4-yr that I am transferring to has a pre-med organization and I was thinking of contacting them for some help and guidance, maybe setting up a partnership with them. What do you think?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!!! 🙂
