What stationery would you use for a handwritten thank you note? Would you use a card or one of those thick letter size papers?

A simple thank you card will do just fine. The ones that come in boxes of 10/20/etc are usually cost effective while still looking nice and professional.

It's 2017 - send an email
To be fair though I sent hand written cards from barnes and noble when I interviewed 9 years ago but now I feel like doing that would just be silly

It's going to end up in the trash anyway, so it's the message written inside that is meaningful. Don't buy super expensive stationery just to write these notes. Get the value packs and use them.

Alright, thanks everyone!

Handwritten notes of any kind are becoming exceedingly rare. I don't think I've seen one this season. Email has become the typical way of sending a thank you note after an interview and despite being told it is not necessary or expected, I think I get them from 10-20% of the applicants whom I've interviewed.

I handwrote all of mine back in the day. We had various admissions counselors come in before interview season and 3 of them mentioned handwriting notes was a nice touch so I did. I don't think it matters too much, but I felt better making it more personal. I bought the 50 cent for 2 at the dollar tree.

Edit: I wrote last semester.
I'm a second year. Sometimes the brain doesn't work right.....
