I have applied to medical schools this many times: three rounds in US. first time applying to Ireland.
Studying now to retake MCAT in May. I have respectable EC's. I've done medical mission trips to Mexico, studied abroad in Spain, shadowed multiple doctors, and should have a publication coming out soon. I've talked to multiple admissions advisors in the states and for the most part they agree that I am what they call "interviewable," but when it comes down to it, I get pushed out of the interview pool, late-season, by people with higher MCAT scores and better GPAs. I really want to go to medical school, and I think my application reflects that I have been working hard to make that dream a reality. I'm interested in hearing if people think I have a good shot at the Irish schools considering the fact that they do accept fewer American students than Canadians. In looking at the posting history, there seems to be many Canadian stats, but not that many Americans are posting-what gives? Come on. Yes we can...post
