what should i use to pass STEP 3? i've heard that swanson's family medicine review is enough to pass without any problems. some people also suggested crush step 3.

are there any good question books for step 3?

thanks much.

swanson's family practice review is an excellent choice for practice questions.

the NMS review book for step 2 isn't bad.

also the american board of family practice has some sample questions from family practice board exams that are available free on line with answers (choose the "not for cme credit option" at http://www.familypractice.com Family practice exams are ideal for step 3 only because of the amount of material covered.

definitely do the practice questions that are included with the test registration materials. some of the questions from my download were on my exam verbatim. more importantly, doing their sample materials lets you practice for the Patient Case simulations -- no book prepares you for this, so you have to use their practice materials in advance, to help you save some time on the days of the real test.

don't sweat it -- step 3 is cake.
