Hey guys! Got 224 on step 1..is that a decent score for an IMG (YOG-2011)? Thank you.

Check out charting the outcomes 2011. If you combined ALL international applicants, the average matched IMG has a score of 219, the average unmatched is a 209. (Look at page 6 in the PDF)

Now, take into consideration some of those IMGs are american citizen IMGs (I don't know if you have an american citizenship) and some programs prefer Americans due to visa issues. Also, take into consideration that there are now many more US MD and DO grads compared to 2011. You will probably have an average to below average score that should still be competitive for a residency in family medicine or psych. (look at page 9 in the PDF).

Matched IMGs had an average score of 204 for family med. You have around a 50% chance of matching FM with a 220 step score (page 76). You need to apply to as many programs in undesirable places as possible and try to go to every single interview.
