Hey everyone! I have to ask... my gpa is just not as strong as I want it to be. I just took cellular & molecular and genetics together, which for me is hard work. I did great in genetics and terrible in c&m (and terrible is understating it!! 😱 ) While doing poorly in one class would probably be ok, my sophmore year I just about made a D in 3 out of 5 classes. I hate to sound cliche, but do you think dental school is no longer an option for me?

First find out if your school have any sort of policy about retaking those classes and replacing or averaging the gpa for the courses you got a D in.

Calculate your best case scenario for your GPA upon graduation. If it can get to a 3.0+, then you have a decent chance.
