Pasha, you emailed or called all of the schools recently? If you're saying AZPOD, DMU, Scholl, and Barry are full I shouldn't contact them right?

I did email them all. But I emailed them over this weekend and waiting for their reply. I was PM'd by couple of pre-pods over this weekend as well.

Even if DMU, Scholl and AZPOD were not full, I dont think you have chances at these schools that late in the cycle with those stats.

I would suggest retaking the Mcat in 2-3 months then applying next cycle. It’s too low

I've been reading these forums for a few months now. Pasha, you always seem to be the first one to tell people their stats are not good or they are not good enough to get into pod school. What makes you think so highly of yourself? What makes you such a negative nancy? Is it the lack of dominance/superiority in your real life that makes you puff your chest on these forums? Or is it an illusion that you have created for yourself in which you have achieved success by getting accepted into pod school and those who are still trying are beneath you? Whatever it is, it's bad for these forums. You shouldn't tell somebody they can't do something based on a conclusion formulated in your head given gpa and mcat. If you think they are a clear indication of that person and their potential success I could probably fool you into believing anything. A good leader leads by encouraging and inspiring the people. If you're going to reply on all of the pre pod forums and give advice try not to be so negative. If you're down in life try to pull yourself and others up. Don't try to pull them down with your bad spirit.

I am sorry, but I believe you are incorrect. Your statement is very subjective at this point. Please go through all of my posts and see how often I say that stats are not good enough. Then you can say the word "always". That's not true. Just recently I said to some pre-pods:
Awesome stats.

Did you shadow only one pod for 6 months?

How many hours was that about?

Did you shadow pods in a hospital?
And
Only AACPMS can tell you that.

With that MCAT, I dont think your GPA difference from 2.9 to 3.1 would matter that much. You have good enough GPA and very good MCAT.

That was just this Saturday.

And one more recent comment:

Depends. Your MCAT score is about average score for pod schools. It is good enough. Your Masters degree GPA is also good,

As you see, 3 recent comments posted by me are actually opposite of what you said.

I try not to think highly of myself. I am not perfect in any sense. All I try to do is provide a feedback as objective as possible. I share my opinions. I might be wrong. It is public forum and everyone who posts ask everyone for their opinion. That opinion will not always be what you want to hear. You do not have to listen to me as well and also you can ignore me.

I didn't want to make you feel bad about your stats in any way. I am sorry if my tone came of that way.

But my opinion was also similar to what others have said.

I have never said that you are bad candidate or you are not good for podiatry. All I said is that it will be hard to get accepted that late in the cycle with those stats. If you apply early in the next cycle, you might get more chances.

You shouldn't tell somebody they can't do something based on a conclusion formulated in your head given gpa and mcat. If you think they are a clear indication of that person and their potential success I could probably fool you into believing anything.
Where did I say that you cant get into podiatry and not be a successful doctor?

If, for example, certain school school has no more seats for this cycle, how can I tell you to apply and maybe you will get in if there are no seats available? That would just be wasting money and time.

I hope you understand me.
If you're down in life try to pull yourself and others up. Don't try to pull them down with your bad spirit.

I am not down in life. My life is great so far. Thanks to God.

I try to stay positive and also objective when providing feedback. If something came through as negative, again, I am sorry.

Good luck.

I do not think Pasha said anything that makes him the things you are stating. He was trying to help you based on his experiences being in these forums for a while and having gone successfully with the Pod app cycle.

Anyways, let's get back to your stats (GPA & MCAT score) again, which is the only factor Adcoms look over to interview you or not.

You have been reading these threads for few months and yet you do not know the average GPA and MCAT scores of accepted students?
A 485 on the MCAT is probably a 16 on the old scale. A 16.
I do not think it is difficult to get over a 490 with at least 2 months of constant studying with the proper resources, and I'm sure you can achieve a better score as well. Your GPA is fine with an MCAT score of at least a 492+ for an interview somewhere, so again, use the proper resources and take it again and apply for 2019.

Your goal should not be just to get accepted somewhere with your current stats (however unlikely that may be), but it should be to stay in the program and not fail out.

Good luck!

Just apply. It's not going to hurt. Your entire application will be reviewed. Apply to all schools with open seats.

With that being said, I do give you a word of caution. Since you did poorly on your MCAT you might be accepted to a school to fill a seat. Sadly, this can happen in years that there are lower quality applicants. Only you can decide if you will be able to perform well in medical school. If you feel like you won't be able to keep up with the coursework or pass your classes then maybe you should consider something else.

Thanks for the advice, Dexter, but I never asked about my chances next cycle. I personally will not be waiting an extra year to pursue podiatry. I'm too much of a creative genius to thrive in an environment made for machines. You guys are good at doing what you are told and that's ok because some are not even good at that. If I am given a chance to prove myself in an interview I will continue down this path and revolutionize the field of podiatry. However, if I am rejected because I did not give my all in something that I truly believe was useless, like the MCAT, then podiatry will lose a good candidate. Machines can interpret data and box it according to numerical value. A truly intelligent person can recognize a truly intelligent person. With that being said, dexter, you write as if you think I am desperate to get into podiatry school. It simply sparked my interest and I wanted to know if I still had time to execute. I don't need podiatry school. You might have needed it due to lack of options but don't talk to me like you have something I need. Your advice/logic is as simple as it is useless. Obviously anyone who gets in is going to have to worry about keeping their grades up to stay in school. Don't waste my time with any more of your general posts. If I get any more real with you you'll realize that I have real eyes and I can recognize real lies. Notice that word play. Take a second to absorb this all. Then read it again. Then reflect. Lastly, do they pay you to be on here so much, Dexter? Since you decided to give my advice on what my goals should be let me give you some advice on yours. You're in pod school right? you should either be studying or making money in your free time. You will be accumulating lots of debt that you are probably not planning for at all while sitting here commenting on forms all day. Are you smart enough to maximize profits and efficiency to become a good Podiatrist? Or will you graduate and be in debt for the rest of your life because nobody will be there to tell you exactly what to do? You need to be thinking about why someone would want to chose you as their podiatrist. Not fun being talked to like that huh? Rather annoying? If you learn anything from this, it's to not think of yourself as better than anyone. You don't have to say it directly but I can tell that's how you feel. You're like that older kid who hangs out with the younger kids because he knows they don't know any better compared to the kids his age who know he's full of... I'm gonna stop here because I know most of this will go over your head or you'll try to pinpoint certain statements that are not as solid as others. Just know that you can trick the rest of the people that read this but me, I'm just too real for you bro. Peace

lolol

I hope that this is just a sad attempt at trolling, because if it's not, it represents the most toxic, egomaniacal, and irritating attitude that a person can possibly have.

I'll admit there was no filter on what I typed out. My bad if it wasn't dumbed down enough for you to get the overall point. I just don't have respect for people that try to bark nonsense just to bark it. Those snarky responses like you're talking from a higher ground bc you're lame and hang out on these forums so you think, over time, that you've achieved some sort of reputation that adds weight to your responses. Yeah chill bro. You're weird. It's a podiatry forum. Go do something in the community. Stop being useless. The same goes for all you liking these forums. Stop being a bunch of dick riders.
