M2 student from India here. We've been having our rotations since the beginning of the year but I reached Y2 only a few months ago (due to having to sit for supplementary in Anatomy because of low attendance). I never got to attend major postings not did I get exposure to patients unlike my peers and as such when medicine rotations finally started, I had a hard time taking histories and presenting it.
What can I do to improve my history-taking and the presentation? Are there any guides on it - books, videos, threads, posts? What mindset should I have while asking the patient about the history? I'm aware of the basic format and the SOCRATES for the common symptoms, but that's it. I don't think with this much I'd be able to come to any differential or any conclusion.
