Hi,

I'm a little bit confused about the CAF. Are we supposed to hit "submit your application" to submit the CAF as soon as we're done with it? And then you upload your documents and LORs and PSs later? The directions on ERAS make it sound like you submit the CAF and then do everything else like apply to programs and upload documents. Can someone clarify?

so essentially once you are done with your application you submit it, this goes off to your eras mailbox. have all of your contribution ready to go by then, including your personal statement and have your letters assigned on your documents section even if they are not uploaded yet. then once your app is in you apply to your programs by selecting them and assigning which documents/lors/ps to send them...this is the point where you shell out your money. as far as the document upload process, at my school there is someone who does this for us, so i am not sure how to go about doing this or even if we can do it at all.... so you might wanna check on the specifics of how things are done for you at your institution. nonetheless, those documents get sent to the same mailbox as your app, and from there programs will download everything.

I found this process for some reason much more confusing than AMCAS....btw, is there a pdf file that explains ALL of this in detail? not that it matters...for I am done but still..

I get it now, thanks so much!
