Sullivan University, Class of 2016 Applicants

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Hi everyone,
If you have been placed on the alternative list..... I have a quick question. Has anyone got pulled off from the alternative list yet??? Or this is most likely a way for the school to reject you (in a nicer way) >.< *sigh*

No!!! It's definitely not that. One of the ladies who showed us around was a student who was on the alternate list. She said she received her acceptance in January. I've also heard of someone who received theirs in July for the next year. But it's not a denial. I understand how you feel though. Hang in there. Definitely apply to others if possible. Good luck.

Does anyone now if all accepted students that were interviewed on the same day received their acceptance letter on the same day? Also, does anyone know if the wait listed e-mail is send to all wait listed interviewed on the same day?

Thanks

awww... thank you! Dr. F told me the reason i am on this list is because they're waiting for my fall updates. so yup! most likely i will hear their final decision by January then 🙁 ya, i am very worried right now because it seems like ppl on alternative list have a very low chance to be admitted for the same applying yr 🙁

Does anyone know what is the method for rejecting applicants after the interview that Sullivan uses? Is it e-mail or mail? Will Sullivan tell you the decision on the phone if you call them, or you have to wait for an e-mail or mail from them?

There was 20 of us who interviewed nov 16. They said this was probably the last round of interviews.
hey, sorry to bother u. I just wanna be sure coz i made an application to SUCOP. Are they not gonna have any more interviews? They just received all my application materials.

Save your money, The class is full and they have a big wait list. If you want to apply there just wait and apply in july when enrollment opens up for class of 17

The last round of interviews was Nov. 16. The class is completely full from what Dr. Facione told me in email. There are several people on alternate list. So if someone drops out before class starts the most qualified alternate gets the spot. If you have already sent in your deposit, they will not make you pay again next year. If you want to start next fall then start applying to other schools.

Hello. I have heard of some getting their acceptance letters a day or two later in the mail. They live in that area though. I live 600 miles away and received mine 2 weeks later. It is delivered by mail in a white envelope and is signed for on delivery. If you are denied or wait listed you will receive and email. That email, I'm unsure of when it comes or how quickly after interviews. No one has really said. It's shorter time than getting the acceptance letter, I do know that. If wait listed, you could hear from them as early as January. They do have a list going from what I can see from others who applied earlier. Some hear from them later and are placed in the next year's class. Apply to other schools as well but also keep up hope for this school if it's the one you really want. There is always next year.

I was on the alternate list for the class of 2016 until about 2 weeks ago when I received a

Did you get in or are you waiting until July application process? Just wanted an update as to how it is going for you.

I actually got accepted yesterday. See you june 28. Thanks for asking.

To those of you waiting, I so know how that goes and hope you hear soon! To those of you moving to Louisville KY, congrats! My husband and I have both been grad students living in this area, have finished our studies (yay!) and are moving on.

When we decided to move to Louisville, we were living in Brisbane, Australia at the time. We knew NOTHING about the area. We were very fortunate to have stumbled upon Southern Indiana as a much more affordable area to settle in while we completed our studies. We have lived here five years (with four small children) and it has been wonderful. The commute to school is 15 minutes to 25 minutes, depending upon the traffic at the time. The cost of living is significantly lower on this side of the Ohio river.

Yes, we are in the process of selling our home right now, but mostly I just wanted to put this information out there to anyone relocating, especially if you have children, and tell you that I would be so happy to share the information we have acquired over the last 5 years living here. This truly is a fabulous area for families - a great zoo, science center, parks, etc., and we are going to miss it.

Congratulations on your acceptance and I hope you have a great time on your journey over the next three years at SUCOP.

You are entering the program at an exciting time with a lot of really progressive things happening and I'm very excited for you all!

Remember to breathe, because it is an accelerated program and can be crazy at times, but stay positive and study hard! You'll do fantastic!

Also, I would recommend that each of you check out the booths at orientation. Get INVOLVED! It'll help you find jobs and opportunities much easier upon graduation. Kappa Psi is the pharmaceutical fraternity and is getting a jump start with a lot of fun opportunities coming your way, including a lot of community outreach and service projects. APhA is a great organization to get involved in for service learning opportunities and health care testing. For those of you interested in hospital or clinical pharmacy, join ASHP at the first opportunity, because it will help you prepare for what's to come with the residency process. Those are just a few of the organizations that I was involved in.

Good Luck in your endeavors! I'm sure I'll meet many of you this summer (in a few weeks, actually! Yay for June 28th!!) 👍

It was scheduled for this Friday the 16. I applied to 23 schools (scattered throught the US) and got 13 interviews thus far. I've only gone to 4 interview and got accepted to 2. Still waiting on the other 2 for a decision. But I may accept the offer at Midwestern CCP.

What 23 schools did you apply to? i too am looking at schools that are scattered around the US. I am having a hard time narrowing ones down to apply to.
