Hi everyone! I'm an M1 planning ahead for how to spend the summer before M2 starts. At a recent conference I met a physician who learned more about her current speciality through a summer program for preclinical medical students that provided mentorship, shadowing, and research opportunities.

What programs have you heard good things (or less than good things) about in plastics? They can be in or outside of the US.

I am interested in basic science research and learning more about plastics (reconstructive and/or aesthetics) as a field. Do any of you have personal experiences with such programs (for plastics or other surgical specialities)?

Thank you so much!
