I believe that the only real break you get during podiatry school is between your first and second year, with the rest having classes/clinic/etc to take up your time. My question is what do most students do during the summer? Is their anything podiatry related that one can do whether it be at their school (Temple for me) or internships/externships (ranging any week duration) somewhere in the USA? (I'd be into doing something NE corridor area) Also, just thinking of this, when people say they visit other externships during their 4th year travels (if I'm not mistaken), do you set up appointments to visit where you're considering applying for residency so that you can check it out? Is it a 1 day deal or a few days to check it out? Is this something you can arrange between 1st and 2nd year or is it planning too far ahead.

at our school we only get 2 weeks off during that summer so most people travel somewhere or get married it seems

With the new curriculum, scholl will have a 2 week break between first and second year. I understand that summer research will still be available to students which is great. $3000 off tuition and $1000 stipend for doing research.👍

Marriage seems feasible and makes alot of sense, no?👍

it seems like everyone doin it at school

you'll see

yeah well I got it out of the way ahead of time I guess. Just got married a couple of weeks ago by Elvis in Las Vegas...it was great!

sorry to be a buzzkill but are their any more actual answers to this? what do temple students do? how are their summers run concerning time off and events/possible activities? or in general with any podiatry-related externships/internships available? work with/shadow more a local podiatrist?
