Since the SUNY Upstate Class of 2009 thread was moved to Allopathic, just thought that I would revive this thread from last year!

Good luck to all the waitlisted people. I was there last year and didn't get in, only missed by two or three people, but I re-applied this year and got accepted right off the bat. Just have some faith, patience, perseverence, and keep your sanity. Good luck all!!

Does anyone know why only select class of 09' threads were moved to the Allo forum?

Because when theys tarted to move all the c/o 2009 threads, people over there started to complain. So they just stopped in the middle of the transfer.

Just want to clarify - we have not gotten to the Hold by Committee list in the past 3 years as we have not gotten all the way through the HPA list. I really don't anticipate that we will get to the Hold list this year. We will continue to pull students off the High Priority Alternate list until mid-August.

I am also on the "hold by committee" list. From what I have been told, last year they did make it to this list after taking everyone from the "High Priority" list. According to the director of admissions, they typically don't make it to the second list until July/August. I hope this helps!

you can email them and ask them for your approximate spot on the waitlist, and whether you have a decent chance of getting in, based on movement last year...good luck.

There has been very minimal movement over the last few weeks. I am not hopeful that there will be much more at this point.
