Surgical predominant research and application?

Hi all, thanks it advance.

Is it a bad idea to do surgical/mohs predominant research as a medical student? Will PDs look at this negatively (MOHS-bound)? what about half/half general/mohs-surgical?

I'd probably do a good mix of it. You could encounter a PD who may look less favorably who is trying to get through residency just to get to Mohs (not accusing you of that necessarily).

If you mix it up, you can always play if off as "I was interested in exploring the field of Mohs as well"
"So you plan on pursuing a mohs fellowship?"
"I haven't decided for sure yet, but I plan to continue to explore it"
