Howard runs a program that encourages all first year students to get Tablet laptops. So far they have been a great asset to our education as it is really simple to place notes right on lecture slides. they are pretty sturdy, just dont go throwing them into the wall when you get frustrated trying to learn a topic and you'll be fine.

I am also thinking on going tablet this year and my candidate is the Toshiba Portege m400. So far the reviews I've read are decent, but I wanted to know if anybody here has had any experience with this model, and if you would recommend it. Thanks!
I have a tablet it is a toshiba portege. it is great. In class i get write on the notes. Mine has an electronic notepad. Which helps me eliminate printing the lectures. Great speed. I would recommend a tablet for med students
