Sounds do able? Is it a red flag to take only twelve hours? two science class and two non-science class. I am also taking the DAT too... or planning on it.

From all the previous semesters, I have been taking about 15 hrs-19 hours each semester. One summer I took 7 hours. Would it be a red flag jumping from 15 hours to 12?

I would say it is do-able, and I don't think it would necessarily raise a red flag, if that's the only way you can work in the DAT. I think it would be better though to take a full load and wait until summer and solidly devote time to just studying for the DAT. I think that just works out better both ways unless you have a specific reason that you can't. If you end up doing the twelve hours and not even taking the DAT, then I think that could look questionable.

Sounds good to me! I actually kind of "enjoyed" studying for my DAT during school...gave me a break from all the other classes I was taking and vice versa. Good luck on your DAT and your classes!

LMAO you gotta calm down man. People on here seriously gotta stop worrying about stupidest little thing.

Agreed. :laugh::laugh:

Its like saying, "I've made straight A's until my last semester when I got one A-. Is that going to raise a red flag." Lol, seriously?

Dental schools prefer to see you taking fuller course loads. If you take just the minimum to be full time, you can expect the possibility of them asking what you were doing with your time. If you were working, studying for DAT, etc. it is no big deal, but otherwise I don't think it's stupid to think it might be a consideration if you have the same stats as someone else, who consistently took heavier course loads.

i did it with 17 credits! 😀 granted my gpa wasn't/isn't the best. but a lot of that was my own fault, i ditched a lot of classes to study once the test date got closer. you'll be just fine.
