Do any of you suggest taking an easy week at the midpoint between when you started studying and when you plan to stop? Looking at the schedules for both EK and Kaplan they seem to suggest taking it easy. Also, in general, do most of you take a day off?

I think taking it easy for the week before the month of hard core studying is a good idea. I didn't do that last time and I burned out two weeks before the actual exam so I'm gonna try to follow EK's plan and take an easy week.

I think the idea is to make you feel guilty for not studying as much so you throw yourself in full-force the month before the exam.

Normally I don't take full days off personally because it whacks me out of the study mode and I end up taking 3 days off instead of 1. What I do is just take a practice FL on either Sat or Sun (which usually lasts til 2) and not do anything for the rest of the day. Different strokes for different folks.

I took one day off every week, and occasionally 2-3 days in a row for when I was travelling or really busy with work. I didn't really have an issue with burnout.
