So currently I am at a community college for my first year, but will be transferring to a university for my sophomore year. I will have completed 19 credits after this semester and plan on taking about 16 credits based off electives next semester. I will also take summer classes to complete my electives. If I take electives this summer and the summer after my sophomore year, I will only be taking science courses at my 4 year university. Is that bad? How many sciences should I take a semester? 3 or 4? 3 - 4 science classes is about 12 - 16 credits. Wouldn't that be bad on my transcript since i will not be taking a heavy load of credits? or do they base it off science classes so 2 - 4 science classes would be ok?

Any suggestions ?

Thanks

At the end of the day, all that matters is your grade and GPA.

Taking ~12 credits at a time and getting 4.0 looks much better than overloading yourself with ~19-20 credits and getting a 3.3

Also, taking electives during summer is fine.

You will have plenty of credits done next three years @ your university. I really don't see a problem here.
