Taking MCAT 3 Times; how much do I need to improve?

It has been said that if you take the MCAT 3 times, you should look to improve your score "significantly." I have scored a 26, and then a 27. What kind of score would be considered a "significant" increase for me?

I wouldn't take it the third time until you are consistently scoring 32+ on your practice tests. Another high 20's score is NOT going to look good.

What didnt you do correctly to keep your score in that range on the second exam? What was your score distribution and how did you study? Did you take practice exams? What were there averages? You should have scored higher the second time if you really worked your butt off...i guess i'm just trying to figure out why you didnt bc if you dont know, the chances of you scoring higher are slim. i agree with the above you need 31-32+ to show imporvement...especially with round three. GL
