I think you answered your own question: "a low range of overall GPA. (2.953, I know it's embarassing )"
I got a 20 on the DAT but applied with a 3.3GPA and was told (by both admissions and a dean) to take more classes to raise my GPA. It looks like you should do the same.
"yappy: 3.3 20 dat w/ 1000 hrs at dental office and not even an interview? I 2nd what HAS said. "uh oh.. your killing my hopes
those are my exact stats
i hope i get in this cycle
did you apply early and everything? how would you rate the rest of your application?
Both of my cum gpa and science gpa are not in a very good shape.. I would say a low range of overall GPA. (2.953, I know it's embarassing )My DAT score is 20 (AA), 20 (TS), 21(PAT).
And.. I recently emailed the admission committees of a few dental schools.
their suggestions were rather blunt.
obviously they said either or both of taking additional courses or retaking DAT would help me.
