Taking Notes in Margin of EK... Ink Bleeding?

Anyone else notice that because of the heavy lamination of EK's review books, that any type of pen ink, including ball point pens, smudge like crazy?

I've always been a fan of note-taking on the margins... anyone find a way around this? Or do you guys have the same frustration as me?

my friends just use post-its on the margins or anywhere in the books, easy remedy

Use a pencil instead of a pen. And dont use a mechanical pencil (w/ 0.5 or 0.7 lead), use a good ol' pencil

lol baboo, i was totally going to suggest that. 'cept i was going to say use a mechanical pencil. i used it, and had no problems.
