I did my post bac at Temple in 2000. I was speaking with the director of health professions (aka post bac/pre med advisor)the other day and asked him about my interview on 3/27. I asked him realistically "Am I interviewing for the waitlist?" He told me that in his opinion about 90-100 seats out of 200 are filled at this time and that I should take this interview seriously. He said that he knew of someone that interviewed last week and received an acceptance. Now this is just one man's opinion, but I know that he works in close conjunction with the med school and I have to say that as a URM/PA resident, this made me feel a bit more optimistic about my upcoming interview. Any comments?

Thanks, ussdfiant! hehe <img border="0" alt="[Laughy]" title="" src="graemlins/laughy.gif" />

According to what an SDNer told me after his interview 2 weeks ago, this is true. The class is not filled. I think it is also notable that non-PA residents may find out about an acceptance a little later than PA residents. They have to fill their PA quota first.

hm, seems like every school I have an intevriew with does this.

Hi Tori,

I interviewed at temple on 3/11 and I found out I was accepted on 3/27 (!) so there are definitely still spaces available. AND I am not a PA resident-my interviewer said my chances of getting an immediate accept being out of state are very unlikly-but I did. You may have a good chance going into the interview if you did post-bacc there and are a PA resident...you should be very optimistic about your chances! Good luck!

PS-this is my first post on SDN
