Hey, I've seen one of these for almost every school except Temple. I figured I'd get one started. I'm on three waitlists, and Temple is one. Has anybody heard much from them?

Let me know how it's going!
 
I'm on three too. Temple being my number one choice.
From what i've read it seems people don't get off the waitlist till sometime in june.
 
Yeah, i think its my first choice right now too. I just sent an email to admissions asking for statistics from past years. I'll let you know if i get a reply.
 
temple is my first choice as well. but i thought i read something saying students were taken off the waitlist in mid may last year.
 
I was told about two weeks ago that there has been no movement on the waitlist (although I am pretty sure several people have given up their place from what I've read on the "withdrew acceptances" threads). I think that Temple just hasn't moved anyone off the waitlist yet even tho there are spots... I think this week is going to be when they start giving attention to the waitlisters.

Nebuloso, who told you that? And I ask b/c Temple, historically, hasn't been one of those schools that offers continuously..it has seemed to be more like one of those schools that waits until around/after May 15th, and then makes several offers at a time...?

Hey All,

Count me in on Temple WL - Even though I lived in Philly for two years, I fell in love with Temple when I went for my interview. I'm also out of state.

Go "Continuing Candiates List" !!
 
Hey, Temple Waitlist is on the move. I e-mailed the adcom on the 17th and recieved an e-mail back stating that the first set of continuing candidates acceptances will be sent out on the the 18th (today). Good luck to you all!
 
ahhhh no way! I'm on the waitlist as well, Temple is my top choice of two. paco, do you know if they're sending them snail, email or via phone? good luck everyone!

from reading past years, it seems like they send an email - some people may get a call...

man, i'm scared after knowing this is when the first round comes out...b/c if i don't get a call or email, i'm going to be so down....

as well, i called late yesterday to ask a questino about my application - the girl i spoke to on the phone didn't sound very positive.....maybe i'm reading too much into it....but i don't know - in my mind im thinking, if i was going to find out good news today, wouldn't she have sounded happier?! i don't know..maybe i'm crazy...lol...

Sorry to "eavesdrop" on this thread about the waitlist, but for those of you who applied to Temple, did you submit 2 or more science recommendations? I only have one and Temple's website's description of what recommendations they require is worded a little funny. Is a premed committee letter enough?

I believe for almost every school (including temple), you need 2....even if you have a committee letter, when they send that, they also send individual letters in the packet - and as such, they will wonder why you only had 1...atleast my opinion....


Guys...have any of you checked your Temple status page at all lately? Has anything changed, or looks the same? TThanks...

yeah, same here. that blasted interview page. no emails, no calls.
 
im on the waitlist too....i have an acceptance at st. louis, but i'd much rather go to Temple...I love Philly and I thought the students we met that day were really cool--very laidback and down-to-earth. Since I've already checked my email about 5 or 6 times this morning, I think I'm going to force myself not to check again until I leave work. That way I don't bum myself out until I have to leave.

So the reason I asked about the status page thing...something very strange happened with my status page, that I noticed early last week? ...anyway.....besides the interview stuff, and the application acknowledgment stuff....

it now has my name in caps red lettering at the top, and below that it says:

TU ID:

But there is no numbering next to that....it seems very strange....and while I want to call them and ask them: "Is that of any relevance or is it just a computer glitch?" - I feel like asking that would make me a bit of a nag...? I do'nt know...lol...going crazy again....truthfully, i dont think it means anything....but what if it might? i don't know...
 
I guess the other reason I'm really curious and want to know if its relevant or just a glitch, is b/c don't accepted tu students get an id? Again, I really don't think it has any relevance to mine - i think a button maybe was hit when it wasn't supposed to and that's why that appears...but obviously, i'd love to know...lol...should i ask them?

just checked my status page...no change. it does seem odd that it says tu id on yours....maybe you did get accepted. maybe you should just wait and see....i was thinking about calling there but i'm too scared of what they might say
 
Does Temple mind people calling about the waitlist? Jefferson takes all your information down when you call---does Temple do something similar? I remember people saying the admissions office wasn't too friendly when they called during the app process (and I witnessed this in person when I went for my interview), so I am wondering if I should call and express interest or just send emails. or just pray.

wizeguy i think if you are accepted you will hear soon enough...but maybe you could just call to check your status? say your status page has changed but there is no informatin on it?

yea i'm wondering the same thing...call? email?...i'm so afraid to do something wrong
 
I don't know if its so much do something wrong, but I feel like me calling won't change anything - and thus could only make me appear as a nag...I guess I won't call - maybe I'll get the guts up to later (later in the workday I get more hyper I suppose - lol...).....anyway....back to lab work...

thanks neb - although both of our comments are antiquated now - paco reported that there will be movement starting today....

I wouldn't worry if you don't hear by phone or email today. The e-mail that the office sent back to me said that they will be sending out the first batch of acceptance letters today. So I assume that means snail mail.
 
so i just called the adm office...the woman was very friendly and said that there has been some movement but there will be more....and to hold on. also she made it sound like there's no ranking to the list...and she couldn't tell me where i am
 
How long has Temple been waitlisting people? Would you guys mind posting the approx. date you got the "continuing candidates" letter? I just want to get an idea of how long they have been waitlisting people. I was waitlisted ~2/20 (I think..).

So I just called them...that whole weird thing on my status page...was told it doesn't mean anything 🙁

Oh well...

I found out I was waitlisted I think around 4/20? around then...

I was barely waitlisted a week ago, I think 5/11. I interviewed 3/23.
 
I'm getting so discouraged 🙁
And I'm not completely sure why...I just have this defeatist attitude right now 🙁
 
i was waitlisted mid-april after a march interview.
 
nothing so far. So did it go out snailmail?

ah.. so it was snail mail. thats weird. didn't people from last year get it through e-mail?
 
yea thats what i thought too. maybe because its still early they're using regular mail. i assume as it gets into june they'll be using email.
 
Hey guys, Temple is notifying students through email. I just got the acceptance email about 15 min ago.

Now I have to make a decision by next friday whether to go to Temple or Drexel.

yeah, congrats rup! although I could have told you a while ago you'd get in - you're a beast - 3.87 bcpm with a 30+ mcat - it was only a matter of time before Temple offered you a spot.
 
rup, if you don't mind checking, could you tell us if they also changed your status page?
 
Thanks guys. Yes, they do update your status page. It says congratulations and there is a link on it for the deposit.

Rup, Congrats on your acceptance.

Wizeguy, I'm a reapp too, 3 WL this time around, still no acceptances. I hope you get pulled off temple WL, I know that "TU ID" thingy is driving you crazy - hopefully it's just a matter of time 🙂

i'm on four waitlist and i've already lost hope. I'm batting perfect for waitlists. four interview four waitlists..
 
I actually called them and asked them about it - the lady said she'd ask for me - so she went back and I'm guessing asked one of teh directors/adcom members - they said "oh, no, that doesn't mean anything...don't know why it happened..."

I mean I thought it didn't mean anything...but still....added a bit to the cruelty...
